London Underground Comics Year-aversary announcement: (Plus 24 hour comics day)
Hey everyone, can you believe it’s only been a year? I can’t, it feels like decades. But apparently not, so to celebrate we’ve hired out an entire pub for our anniversary party. The Prince Arthur pub is situated next to Euston station, five minutes walk from Kings cross, (http://www.golden-p.co.uk/) and is a very trendy, critically acclaimed establishment.
On the 18th of October the pub will open at 6pm (last entry at 10pm) and will close at around 2 in the morning and we want to get anyone who has ever been involved with the stall to come and celebrate with us, bring your friends and family for some chatting and sketching, hell we’ll be bringing our own DJ as well.
If you’re lucky, we’ll give you some details on what we have planned for 2009!
The pub won’t be serving food on the day, but bring your own, some of us are cooking some sort of picnic but if not we can all chip in for a big pile of Domino’s Pizza delivered to the door… or something.
(personally I’ll be going for Euston Station’s Burger King, but then I’m ghetto like that).
The 18th is also 24 HOUR COMICS DAY, and since there is no official venue in London hosting any kind of related event we thought that if anyone was going to take part they should bring their stuff along and we can all work on them together, for the final six hours of the day, and when midnight comes everyone can jump around showing each other what mini masterpieces they’ve created. If you’ve never been part of LUC but want to come do your 24 hour comics with us then everyone is welcome.
The Prince Arthur can comfortably fit around 40 to 50 people, and although entry is free and friends/family are welcome if you could send me a quick message to:
camdencomics@hotmail.co.uk
Just telling me if you’re coming and how many folks you want to bring to I can guage numbers that would be most kind!
Looking forward to seeing you!
Happy Birthday.

I forgive you Oli.
They have 12 malt whiskeys ! The food seems reasonaably priced.
Maybe some London students might have card flyers for 50% off Dominoes that they’ve been covering Oxford in. (My rich supplies are only good for my area it seems. The vouchers are good until end Nov.)
I’d like to have another go at a 24hr comic, though I think I may just stick close to the pub. Will the Camden stall be running as usual on Saturday?
Yes, yes the stall will Andy. Food IS reasonably priced usually, but when hired out, the venue doesn’t provide it’s own, hence the picnic styling!
