Exhibitors & Visitors Page

Visitors

Turn up at the Camden Lock Market between ten and six, buy shit-loads of comics, chill with everyone in the pub. Any questions?

Exhibitors (must read):

Please turn up to the Camden Lock Market between half nine an ten o’clock, the venue is joined to the side of the market hall, which is opposite the burned side of camden between the lock bridge and the railway bridge. (If you get lost feel free to call me on 07907 576 992)

We will be providing table cloths so no worried there, we reccomend you bring around THREE different comics to avoid overcrowding of stuff on the tables and maybe ten copies of each if you are feeling lucky. Please bring £5 to give to me when you arrive before I put you on your table.

If you want to bring a fold out stool, it might come in handy…

THE AREA WE HAVE IS NOT BIG. I doubt it will fit all fifty exhibitors at one time, let alone customers,
the aim of the themed tables is so that each group can manage their own stall, set up a price list in the morning and I recommend centralising your finances like LUC does during the day (I’m happy to show you how we do it), making a tally of sales and splitting it up at the end. This way you can run the stall in pairs to avoid overcrowding, the idea of this event is SOCIAL so sit outside in the seating areas, go for a pint or a coffee and generally chat and enjoy yourselves :) Please respect this ethos and don’t insist on only selling your own comics, or bringing a library of stock.

During the day I’ll be handing round a No Barcodes sketchbook that i would appreciate if everyone could do a quick something in because at six o’clock we will auction it off as a souvenir, the money going towards the deposit for the next con-venue.

After the market closes at six I presume we’ll all be already settled into the Lack 17 tavern as it is next door to the venue so we can party like it’s all our birthdays.

Below is the final table layout, feel free to comment (or name those two tables) and please check out your fellow table-buddies’ sites and say hi!

Can I call you Mike, Mike?

  8. Al Maceachern says:

What if you’re a pretentious noob lad with some semi-autobiographical comics?

Anyway, I’m looking forward to this, you can see some of my work at http://www.amdrawing.co.uk/comics. Cheers!

  9. Peter Lally says:

Can I book a place on the Brighton Table?

    Kind Regards
    Peter

  10. Terome says:

Oh, book me in for the Pretentious Table. I have friends who did Media Studies beyond first year. I know all the words to use.

  11. Andrew Luke says:

    There is no Conspiracy Table.

I hope we will we be seeing the return of ‘The Edgy Edge’
(The name given to comics at the edges of the table, usually mine, Dan Lesters, Jenny L-Cs all ‘edgy’)

  12. Lizz Lunney says:

yeah! this will be awesome :o )

  13. Mike Weller says:

Happy to trade my table space status for visitor status to up-and-coming rucksack carrier of self-published underground comix (of any Table preference) if they would kindly install, on my behalf, BRIGHTON AND HOVE – SALTDEAN – SHOREHAM-BY-SEA Street Plan with Index; as ‘Edgy edge’ conceptual bookart installation on edge of The Pretentious Table.

    Deal anyone?

    best regards,
    Michael John Weller

  14. Terry says:

Err . . . we’ve got barcodes on Murky Depths. So I guess we deserve the pretentious title more than anyone else.

  15. We should have a “Barcodes Table” for those who aren’t indie enough :P

  16. David Baillie says:

I’ve just put a couple of really nice looking veggie burgers in the oven.

  17. I started drinking at ten this morning.

  18. David Baillie says:

I’m going to crack open a beer and salute you, sir!

  19. Dan Lester says:

    GIN!

  20. Um…. did I get missed off somewhere? Thought I got a definite “yes, you’re part of No Bardcodes” out of you at Bristol?

  21. Clare Power says:

    yey excitable! noob power..

  22. Terry says:

There’s no link to Murky Depths website. Fantasy table? What . . . Murky Depths?

  23. Do Better says:

cool beans I’ll see you all there..

    http://www.myspace.com/doyouwanttokissitbetter.

  24. Andrew Luke says:

I’m guessing, it might be an idea if folk brought along chairs or stools of foldable ease if ready. There are a few available, I doubt enough for one per table.

Any of those with missing hyperlinks want to post them up here ?

  25. Andrew Luke says:

My god. Wouldya look at the roster on that autobio table ? See, they said autobio was the crowd to be in….years

I can’t wait to see what to make of the Ralph Kidson listing. My hopes are set high…:(….still, not seen enough of his new stuff.

  26. Just caught up with this- Oh dear. How edgy are the rest of my table comrades? If the table is long and narrow we’ll all end up on the edge!
I have trolled up a new comic. Yay.
I have included my website details- will that make my name go blue?

  27. Douglas Noble says:

I’d just like to echo Mr Goodbrey’s sentiments, but in an attrative Scottish accent.. I was sure there was a verbal agreement from you at Bristol, sir!

  28. Phil Corbett says:

Hey – could I plop some Kitten Parasites on your stall? I can’t get your email to work…. Gimme a shout you guys!

  29. How the hell does this thing work. I write stuff and press submit and it doesn’t happen. Why? And if this works why didn’t it last time? Testing testing

  30. Kaz says:

Why am I not on the Pretentious Table? Not pretentious enough for you, huh?

Nah.. my table seems cool. It has Andy Luke on it.

  31. Alex Fitch says:

While it’s a terrific map, could I be slightly churlish and point out that Chalk Farm station is a bit closer to the Market than Camden Town station and also less busy on a saturday…
Why not listen to my interviews with the lovely Oli Smith and the brilliant Sean Azzopardi are online now at http://www.panelborders.com

  32. Terry says:

    http://www.murkydepths.com
I’ll be bringing Issues #3 & #4 and Episode #4 or Richard Calder’s Death and The Maiden

  33. Terry says:

I’ve just added a link to here from the Murky Depths conventions page . . . well, why not?

  34. Martlar says:

Tad dissapointed I didn’t get on the “I don’t know what to call this”? That pretty much sums up my comic. Oh well. Hopefully the Fantasy folk wont be offended by my presence on their table.

  35. Mike Weller says:

cartoon kid has no barcodes promo on myspace bulletin to his sixty e-friends (most of whom are dead). I can never make myspace URLs work from mass of junk-slime but Andy, can you try and link The Pretentiou Table to http://www.myspace.com/mickweller?

    I owe you one,
    cheers ‘n’ beers

  36. Mike Weller says:

it works. probably because I wrote “Pretentiou” Table >:-)

  37. Mike Weller says:

I’ve counted cartoon kid’s sixty MySpace electronic pals. Although several look as though they are dying, only sixteen are actually deceased. Coaldust(great heavy metal band from the valleys), are RIPing this year.

Will Do Better be cartoon kid’s myspace pal? That’ll be sooooo cool. Why not call the “I don’t know what to call this table” the Do Better Table..?

    Mickie @_@

  38. Andrew Luke says:

I have no space for mice:(
I’m up for a ‘Do It Better’ table !
(24 hr reviews, heres the hyperlink)

  39. Mike Weller says:

The Do It Better Table. That’s it, Andrew!

And “nope, nothing for this one either” table may end up being called The Go Out And Get Her Table..?
