What:

The section merits a page to itself as this event is not just about selling comics, it’s about having a fantastic day out for exhibitors and visitors alike. In the large hall that we have, as well as the twenty exhibitor tables, we also have a large and comfy reading area for you to peruse your purchases or just relax, bring your pens and create works of art at our massive Sketching Table. On top of this we will have three specific ‘activities’ going on throughout the day…

-The Animation Screen

is a large digital projector cinema screen built into the wall which throughout the day will be showing silent animation reels from various comics related animators including anything you, the exhibitor want to send us.

-The DJ booth

is a state of the art sound system built specifically for this 176 project which can support DJ’s and other live music, ambient throughout the day with an opportunity to play along to the final screen reel of the day which will consist of images from…

-The Canvas Corner

, at the other end of the room near the reading area will be a small stage on which (budget permitting) we will be able to provide a stack of 6″ by 6″ canvases and some basic canvas pens (bring your own painting materials otherwise!) and we want people to paint us a canvas according to various themes which will change throughout the day, these finished canvases will be built up into a mini wall at the back of the event and hopefully scanned in to be worked into a Visual DJ set for the last hour of the event. They’ll also be available to buy should you wish to support future LUC events.

How to get involved:

Although 176 is now FULLY BOOKED, I hope that anyone who didn’t manage to get a table will still come along as a visitor (I’ll even let them get away with judicious rucksack trading) and you can still submit animations or offer DJ-ing services by emailing the address below.

If you would like to take part in more than simply exhibiting, whether it being DJ-ing/ Visual DJ-ing or have animations/mini films that you would like displayed on the big screen then e-mail:
